Guess who’s hosting the 2017 Tony Awards? Well it’s none other than the “American Beauty” star Kevin Spacey.

Kevin Spacey is best known for his work on “The Usual Suspects”, “American Beauty” and the hot TV show on Netflix “House of Cards”. Spacey has won a 1991 Tony for his outstanding performance in  “Lost in Yonkers” and 1999 Broadway stint in “TheIceman Cometh”.

For years, Spacey served as the artistic director of The Old Vic Theater Company in London and appeared onstage of its productions of National Anthems, Philadelphia Story, Inherit the Wind and Darrow, etc. The announcement for the host was delayed due to the fact that the Tony Awards were really trying to find the best, right after their last host James Corden of “The Late Late Show”. According to Spacey, “I was their second choice for Usual Suspects, fourth choice for ‘American Beauty’ and 15th choice to host this year’s Tony Awards. I think my career is definitely going in the right direction,” He continued on with a great sense of humor by saying, “Maybe I can get shortlisted to host the Oscars if everyone else turns it down.” 2017 Tony Award will most definitely be interesting that’s for sure.
