Derrial Christon – President / Executive Producer

Derrial Christon knew at an early age he had the essential, “it” to work in the entertainment industry. While attending “The Ohio State University,” he hosted the popular campus radio show, “Burning the Midnight Oil” and was also a writer for, “The Lantern,” the campus newspaper. With his infectious smile, inquisitive nature and witty personality, he was able to capture interviews with athletes and relevant figures throughout Ohio.

Upon graduation, Derrial moved to New York City to pursue a life in “showbiz.” He began working as the Event Marketing Manager and Celebrity Wrangler for publications, such as SPIN and VIBE Magazine. Fully immersed in all things entertainment, he found himself working with celebrities such as Russell Simmons, Halle Berry, Jay-Z, Diddy, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Beyoncé and many more. Derrial’s career path took a slight turn, when he was presented with an opportunity to cover a red carpet event, as a correspondent & journalist for VIBE. It was at that moment, Derrial realized he wanted to continue exploring his love for hosting; celebrity interviews and pop culture reporting.

Derrial decided to move to Los Angeles, to take his career a step further in the hosting world. Soon after moving to LA, Derrial was selected as one of the top Hosts for AfterBuzz TV headed by E! Networks Maria Menounos. During a meeting with Maria and business partner Keven Undergaro, he discussed the increasing demand for African American online news, talk, and entertainment. Shortly after, he partnered with Undergaro and created Black Hollywood Live, the 1st online network targeting African Americans in entertainment, in which Derrial is the lead Host and Executive Producer. Recently, he was hired to Host the BET Fan Experience at the BET Awards for the 3rd year in a row. In addition, Derrial was chosen by Lexus to become the social media correspondent for all Versus & Flow events. He has been recognized as a host to watch by the LA Times and was recently featured in Vanichi Magazine, as a future entertainment icon. The Own Network has also showcased Derrial as one of the best “Pop Culture” experts in Hollywood. Variety featured his “stand out” question at the 2016 Sag Awards to Leo DiCaprio after winning the “Best Actor” Award. You can also catch Derrial reporting the hottest entertainment news on TMZ, OMGossip.com and Conversations with Maria Menounos’ on Sirius radio.

Tiona Hobson – Vice President / Executive Producer

As a self-proclaimed “Pop Culture Connoisseur”, its no wonder Tiona spends most of her time watching TV (and since joining Afterbuzz TV it’s gotten worse).  During her time at the University of LaVerne, she hosted many television programs for LVTV-3 and is continually asked back to provide color commentary for Women’s Volleyball games.  After graduating with a BA in TV Broadcasting, she realized she needed an outlet for all the break-ups, make-ups and other celeb gossip she’s stored in her head over the years and thus began her pursuit to take over Hollywood!  Tiona’s excited to be working with AfterbuzzTV (a place that feels like home) and to be surrounded by like minded individuals who really understand the important things in life…you know the real nitty-gritty things that keep most of us up at night like will there ever be a Dawson’s Creek reunion?  While waiting for her “big break” she spends her time working at a production company, stargazing and people watching on Hollywood Blvd.

Courtney Stewart – Senior Producer

Courtney Stewart is an actor, producer and host. She has had the pleasure of working with Maria Menounos & the Omegagirl/Underman team on various projects since 2007. She has most recently been seen producing/starring in the web series Not Quite Fabulous and is currently developing independent film/TV/new media projects.

Courtney Stewart hosts The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Celebrity Apprentice, The Game and many more after-shows on AfterBuzzTV.com.

Jesse Janedy – Senior Producer

Jesse Janedy is a DJ, Comedian and On Air Personality from Boston, MA. From a young age, Jesse has been intrigued with the entertainment world. Directing, performing in live stage shows, he has been known to be a man of many hats. Jesse quickly immersed himself into the world of comedy performing at venues all over New York City including Broadway’s own “Caroline’s”. Jesse’s faith in God helped him get through some real dark times causing him to fall in love with music all over again. Jesse purchased his first set of turntables creating a vehicle to exude all of the stories running through his head by putting them into a song. Years later, Jesse found himself growing restless and gave himself the final push he needed to pack up his car and travel across the country to L.A. to fully live out his dreams. Jesse found a new home, away from home, at “AfterBuzz TV” thanks to the help of Maria Menounos, Keven Undergaro and a very supporting family.
