Justice for Ahmaud Arbery is moving forward in the right direction, because all three men involved in his murder were indited Wednesday afternoon.

William Bryan, Travis, and Gregory McMichael are each facing nine charges, which include malice murder, felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment, false imprisonment, and four counts of felony murder.

The McMichaels’s shot and killed Arbery because they thought he was breaking into houses in the neighborhood. Bryan used his car as a blockade to prevent Arbery from running away. The McMichael’s shot Arbery three times and wrestled him to the ground. According to CNN, Special Agent in Charge, Richard Dial, said Arbery was intentionally followed.

“I believe Mr. Arbery was being pursued, and he ran till he couldn’t run anymore, and it was, turn his back to a man with a shotgun or fight with his bare hands against the man with the shotgun. He chose to fight,” Special Agent in Charge Richard Dial said.

“This is another positive step, another great step for finding justice for Ahmaud,” Cobb County District Attorney Joyette Holmes said in Wednesday afternoon’s press conference.
