Benjamin Patterson of NAACP award-winning series Greenleaf on the Oprah Winfrey Network Talks Music in Quarantine and Sapphire Sky

Actor/musician Benjamin Patterson of Greenleaf on the Oprah Winfrey Network  sat down with Fit Club’s Shaka Smith and Fallon Mercedes to discuss the upcoming return of the series in June and how he copes with the pandemic through his music.

Patterson reveals his excitement about his character Noah Kendall and the upcoming story arc that finally answers questions that have been hinted at since the inception of the series. Patterson tells fans to expect the upcoming focus of season 4’s second half, to “propel the show even further.” With a recent Outstanding Series win at the NAACP Image Awards, Greenleaf looks to continue entertaining fans this summer.

Patterson, whose first creative outlet was music, has been using the medium to cope with quarantine. He has been composing music and will be releasing eponymous music for the first time on May 15th, formerly going by the nom de plume of Sapphire Sky. Inspired by D-Nice, Patterson has also been curating his own DJ sets to save us from quarantine boredom. Patterson tells music lovers to expect a DJ set every Wednesday at 3:30 pm PST with details on his Instagram @benjaminpattersonallday.
