Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s oldest daughter, Blue Ivy is letting the whole world know she did not come to play. This little star is nominated for her first BET Award. Blue is clearly following in her mom’s footsteps of being a young mogul.

On The Lion King: The Gift album, which was released in 2019, Blue Ivy was featured on “Brown Skin Girl” alongside Wizkid and SAINt JHN, and is nominated for a BET Her Award. This category recognizes Neó Soul and traditional R&B artists.

This award has some tough competition, as it’s running against Alicia Keys “Underdog,” Ciara “Melanin,” Layton Greene “I Choose,” Lizzo “Tempo,” and Rapsody “Afeni.”

Even though this is Blue Ivy’s first nomination, this is not new for Beyoncé, and this year she is nominated in three other categories – Best Female R&B /Pop Artist,  Album of the Year and Best Movie for Homecoming: The Live Album.

The BET Awards show will be premiering on June 28th at 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST. We will be tuning in to see if Blue Ivy will steal the night with her first win!
