As we all are familiar with the saying, “Black Don’t Crack”, Halle Berry is one of the many Black celebrities that has proven this statement to be a fact. To help people get through this challenging time, the age-defying actress has finally allowed the world to get a glimpse into her self-care and beauty regimen. Recently, Ms. Berry started a project to share her health and wellness ideas with the world.

Re-Spin was launched by the Oscar award winning actress as a free-to-use digital health and wellness community. It’s purpose is to help users balance their physical and mental wellbeing amidst the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Berry also shared that her inspiration to develop the app came as a result of her being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the young age of 22.

Nutrition, fitness and wellness has since transformed my life – reconnecting my mind, body and soul – teaching me how truly valuable my body is. I know that we’re all at home right now, and that this time in the world is challenging for each of us in different ways. As we collectively re-align, I invite you to join the @respin community,” Berry wrote on her Instagram post.

Announcing @respin, a digital health and wellness community from me to you. At 22 years old, I was diagnosed with diabetes… It was the moment I knew my health journey needed to change. Nutrition, fitness and wellness has since transformed my life – reconnecting my mind, body and soul – teaching me how truly valuable my body is. I know that we’re all at home right now, and that this time in the world is challenging for each of us in different ways. As we collectively re-align, I invite you to join the @respin community – this is an early release and a work in progress, but feel free to use it as a wellness resource, a place to connect, to learn something new or maybe just as a distraction from our surreal circumstances. Either way I am thrilled to have you here with us, and look forward to our journey together. Download the app now via #linkinbio – 🎥 Mark C.  Although this is a soft launch and still a work in progress, Berry encouraged people worldwide to use Re-Spin as a wellness resource and a place to connect to learn something new, or maybe just as a distraction from our surreal circumstances.

Since many people are spending time at home and practicing social distancing, she wanted to connect with others by offering workouts, mental wellness inspiration, healthy recipes, and other holistic approaches.

Re-Spin can be found in the version of an app, as well as an Instagram page, which includes a series of images that bring about ideas of calmness, nature, and emotional wellbeing.

The Monster’s Ball actress even wrote “during these times of heightened uncertainty, we will donate a portion of any profits we make to organizations on the front lines of the Covid19 pandemic.”

While it’s clear that the 53 year old actress takes really good care of herself and continues to defy aging, fans are excited that she is allowing the world into her health and wellness journey.

Berry also launched a line of workout gear under the Re-spin name in February.
