Creator of the 90’s sketch comedy series In Living Color, Keenen Ivory Wayans will be the showrunner of season three of The Last O.G., replacing Saladin Patterson.
The Last O.G. stars Tracy Morgan, Tiffany Haddish, Allen Maldonado, Ryan Gaul, and Cedric the Entertainer. The series entails Morgan, as Tray, an ex-convict released from prison after serving a 15-year sentence who then returns to Brooklyn only to find that it has completely changed.
In a statement, Wayans said, “I’m thrilled and excited to be working with such a great cast, team of producers and reuniting with Tracy Morgan,” Wayans added, “Together we’re all going to take the show to the next level.”
Wayans is no stranger in the small and big screen as he created and executive produced, and hosted 90’s Emmy’s sketch comedy series In Living Color. He also directed the following comedy films White Chicks, Scary Movie, and Scary Movie 2.
The Last O.G. was renewed for season 3 back in April by TBS.
