What happens after the honeymoon phase is over? Mike Hill dished out upcoming plans with fiancée Cynthia Bailey, including a new dating show.

Hill sat down with AftrBuzz TV and said he and Bailey have a development deal with STX Entertainment in place. He also spoke on the nature of relationships and how to keep a blossoming romantic partnership from burning out.

“We [he and Bailey] met on a dating show, on Steve Harvey’s dating show,” Hill told AfterBuzz TV. “So we actually developed a dating show and we got a, a development deal with STX right now and we should be shooting a pilot here in the next couple of months.”

Hill and Bailey, who are currently starring on Real Housewives of Atlanta, got engaged at the end of July.

Considering their history, it sounds as though Hill and Bailey, who have both been married before, are hoping to help others find a chance at love and share in their joy. It also seems that in each other they’ve found more than just a romantic partner.

“That’s exactly one of the reasons I, umm, am even thinking of getting married again,” Hill said. “It’s like, I want a partnership. And not only in my personal life but in my professional life as well. And she thinks the same thing.”

Hill continued by going into the nature of his relationship with Bailey, mentioning that like any normal couple they have their issues, yet he seemed optimistic that couples can work through even the hardest problems.

“Relationships work when you work at the relationships,” Hill added. “And we’re working on ours. Ours is a work in progress because we’re still getting to know one another.”

Our hosts ended the conversation by volunteering their services for the wedding, which Hill seemed very excited to have them be a part of. And with host Drew asking Hill for advice on “finding the one.”

“Don’t look for it,” Hill said. “I think when you look for something, sometimes you’re going to find the wrong things. […] What you gotta do is don’t look, just allow it to happen.”

Hill went on to say that by searching for love, the person on the receiving end is going to attempt to conform to what you like, and you’re not really going to get the real person. You’ll end up with a person who’s pretending to be something they’re not. He ended his answer with some especially sage advice, stating that before anyone should be in a relationship, they should make sure that their own mental health is taken care of.
