BHL: Ahmaud Arbery

William Bryan is claiming he is innocent in the involvement of Ahmaud Arbery’s death, claiming he was driving down the road when the death of Arbery took place.

“I’ve never been involved in anything like that before,” he said in an interview with FOX 30

Bryan also said that he has been receiving death threats ever since the release of the video.

“I’m not feeling safe at all. I haven’t felt safe in at least three to five days now.

“I truthfully need to be cleared of this because I had nothing to do with it. I’ve been trying to get my life back to normal but it’s been smeared for the past week.” Bryan said.

Bryan’s attorney said his client wasn’t directly involved with Arbery’s death because he was a witness. Bryan said he doesn’t have a relationship with the McMichaels, yet his attorney said in the interview with FOX 30 Bryan recognized the McMichaels’ vehicle.

“My client was responding to what he saw, which was someone in the community that he didn’t know being followed by a vehicle that he recognized.”

Previously, Gregory and Travis McMichael stated that Arbery was committing burglary in the neighborhood. The McMichaels then decided to take matters into their own hands and to make a citizen’s arrest with tackling and shooting Arbery to death.

The McMichaels are still in custody and due to the coronavirus pandemic won’t be able to see a grand jury until June. Hollywood has reacted to the incident, calling for truth and justice. Black Hollywood Live will continue to cover the case as news details are revealed.
